Holy Apostles invites you to come to our annual spring concert on Saturday May 9 at 5 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist to raise funds for our youth.
Sergey Khvoshchinsky, composer and music director of Holy Apostles, thanks you for the chance to have the concert at your beautiful church. Some of you may remember our concert last spring. We performed classical and contemporary sacred music, American and Russian, Hmong and Jewish folk music. The audience was impressed by our young musicians who performed very complicated compositions by Mozart, Beethoven, and Rachmaninoff on flutes and violin, organ and piano. Our youngest (6-9 years old) musicians sang and played recorders, drums and piano.
This year, we are going to continue to surprise our listeners with serious piano, beautiful dance, a funny play, and heavenly Taize music. Please, come. Enjoy the music and admire the hard work of our young people whom you’ve met at our joint projects, services, and picnics. The youth will be very grateful for your support. Without it, Holy Apostles could not continue their significant music program. Because of your support, children and youth who would not be able to have music lessons will be able to continue.
Thank you all and hope to see you May 9. Please come and bring your children and grandchildren and invite your friends. We will serve refreshments after the concert.
