New members, those preparing for a sacrament, and anyone who wants to refresh their knowledge, join us for this 8-week series about the basics of Christianity, Anglicanism, the Bible, and discipleship. It is held Sundays at 11:30am in the Fireside Room, beginning March 5. Lunch is served. RSVP to Lea Anne Schmidt at email@example.com.
The classes give the knowledge and skills that inspire us to live a balanced spiritual life, and they offer a way for individuals to learn and grow in community. They also will help participants get to know the staff and ministries of St. John’s a little better. These classes tell the Christian story, teach how to read the Bible, and teach the basic Christian disciplines. The Basics classes are anything but “basic” and will engage both the heart and the mind so that we might, as a congregation, deepen our faith and draw closer to the One who is its source.
