The annual Farmers’ Market will be returning to the south side of the parking lot at the end of June and staying through the summer–often through October. Throughout the summer, the market is open on Wednesday afternoons and Sunday mornings, and features fresh produce and flowers from the talented farmers of Holy Apostles Episcopal Church, our companion parish. Once the season opens, weather permitting, we will also enjoy our Sunday coffee hour outside at the market.
Our Farmers’ Market is a unique opportunity to reach out into our neighborhood, while simultaneously deepening our relationship with Holy Apostles Church. In addition, we continue to support Fields to Families, a project that provides fresh produce from the market to area food shelves. Plus, fresh produce is the healthiest kind of food around, and a real treat in the summer.
Our Farmers’ Market chairs this year are Cammie and Rob Beattie. Shirley Sailors will again oversee our role in supporting Fields to Families.
Please support the market by shopping, inviting your friends and neighbors to shop, donating to Fields to Families, and volunteering at the market. Click here to visit the Sign Up Genius page with information about the dates and times when help is needed.
