We are thrilled to announce that two of St. John’s Youth won awards at the Minnesota Episcopal Youth Music Festival on Saturday, February 23, 2013.
Lucy Grundhauser won the Bishop’s Chorister Award. The winner of this award receives a medallion on a cord to wear over vestments along with full tuition to Episcopal Youth Music Camp.
Tim Krall won the Canon Small Award. This award goes to a chorister from each parish who has exhibited exceptional leadership in their choir, particularly as a mentor to other choristers and as an assistant to the choir director.
The Bishop’s and Dean’s Choristers Awards are predicated on the need to lift up our children and youth to a proper role within our faith community, ensuring that we build the present into the future by developing spirituality, leadership, and musicality. They are awarded to those who have demonstrated excellence in musical leadership, attitude, and musical aptitude.
Please join us in congratulating Lucy and Tim, and all the St. John’s Youth Choristers on their fabulous and inspiring performance.
