Children’s Faith Formation

Faith formation is an on-going, lifelong process. From womb to tomb we are called into a deeper relationship with our God who first loved us.  It is through faithful connections that your children will come to know and experience God’s love by connecting with each other, and exploring different ways to pray and practice their faith.

Godly Play

This year due to COVID-19 we are doing our children’s faith formation online. Sundays from 9-9:45am, join us on Zoom for a Godly Play Story and LIVE wondering as we explore the stories of our faith.

Families with children can also watch a recording of each week’s Godly Play story on our YouTube channel (stories are uploaded the following Wednesday). Or click here to join our “Faithful Parenting at St. John’s” Facebook group and watch the Godly Play stories there if they are unable to join us Sunday mornings.

Godly Play is a Montessori-based approach to religious education, using a multi-sensory approach to telling Bible stories with three-dimensional materials.

Nursery Care

Nursery care has been suspended due to COVID-19. The nursery will reopen when we are able to gather together in the building again.

Ordinarily, the nursery is located in the Undercroft (lower level of the church). On Sundays, the nursery is staffed from 8:45 am to the end of the 10:00 am service (September -May) and 9:45 am through the end of the 10:00 am service (June – August). Children from birth to age 4 are lovingly cared for so that parents may attend church programs and services.
